Memorial Day 2004!!

Leaving my Maine pic enlarged as I like to look at it.  Would love to be there... but will continue to visit in my mind for now.

There's talk of imminent terrorist attacks... Memorial Day and 4th of July seem to loom with mixed emotions.  But as ever, we will go about our business and refuse to give credulence to ignorance and hate.
If you are one of my regular readers, you will see that I've been reorganizing my main home page a bit.  So I'm using my 'About Me' page as my home base at the moment.  Over the years I've collected so many pages of Archives, etc.  I really need to go back and clean those up, file them away, and create a current one.  Maybe I'll get that done this week?  We'll see...

Also haven't updated my photo gallery, poetry section, or writings in a while. Maybe I'll get to some of that this week too (Hope springs eternal in the human breast...)!

We have so many plans... plans to do great things as well as little things... but "life" seems to get in the way.  Mother Theresa once said... and I'm paraphrasing here, "God didn't mean for man to do great things... only little things with great love."  I find this to be true.

Updates:

Kittens doing great.  Eating Science Diet Kitten chow, running around acting like kittens... playing with everything and everyone.  They really love people... and have very loud kitten motors (purrs).  Baby B took the white/cream one home, oldest son plans to take 2 little females. That leaves 2 adorable males to find homes for...  one is Jumping Jack... the biggest of the 5... with beautiful black and white markings... big black patch on his face... extremely active and lovable.  I call him Jumping Jack... because he jumps everywhere!  The other is Tux... quieter, more laid back, perfect black and white tuxedo markings!

Books:  After I finished the DeVinci Code, I read one of Nora Robert's latest ("Remember When"?.. or something like that), then an Irish story called "Fifteen Streets" I believe, then "Angels and Demons",  and now am in the process of reading, "The Princes of Ireland".  Angels and Demons was really very good. If you liked the DeVinci Code, you'll like this one. I can see them making movies of these stories...  very mysterious action packed stuff.

Movies:  We have been going to the movies a bit lately.  Saw "Van Helsing" (great special effects), "Troy" (well done), and plan to see "The Day after Tomorrow"...(will let you know). I still want to see "The Passion of the Christ"...  not exactly looking forward to seeing it... but feel the need to see it... whatever that means.

Well, Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend!
I'm grateful to all our Veterans... and Soldiers... who fought... or fight today to keep our freedom and our way of life.
